Purpose and data

We process the name, photograph, number, categories, issuer, country and expiry date visible on the licence only to verify identity, driving eligibility and suitability for the specific rental.

Legal basis and requirement

Processing is necessary for steps before and performance of the rental contract and applicable legal obligations. We cannot provide the vehicle without sufficient evidence of a valid driving entitlement.

Access, security and retention

The file is held in private UploadThing storage with no public address. Only authorised staff may access it for the booking. The copy is deleted within 30 days after the rental ends or is cancelled; necessary contractual records may be retained separately for statutory periods.
